Daiei Onoguchi is a bilingual (Japanese x English) filmmaker who focuses on telling extraordinary Japanese stories.
In 2018, Onoguchi created a comedic documentary, "Pot of Gold: The Origin of Japanese Bidet," where he goes to Japan to find out why robotic bidets are such a sensation there. It won several awards including Best Documentary Award from Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. In the following year, he was hired by the Washington Wizards to film Rui Hachimura, the first Japanese player ever taken in the NBA's first round, and followed his journey for 4 years.
In Tokyo, Onoguchi worked on various projects ranging from commercials, documentaries, music videos, and movies. His positivity, interpersonal skills, and peripheral understanding in film production make him a reliable collaborator on any project.
Hire as a Directer, 1st AD, or Interpreter for your next production.
